sunday october 13th, 2013
having a strange time be aware of holidays, because Sunday I celebrated Thanksgiving with my family at my Grandma’s in Toronto. The one thing I knew for for – was that it was my Uncle Ron’s 48th, and none of my family was 100% sure how old he turned.
It was a good feast: Mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, turnip, stuffing, corn, broccoli, and of course the traditional turkey; there gravy to bathe it all in. Desert was a nice chocolate-vanilla-raspberry birthday cake, and pumpkin pie with whip cream to bathe it in, heh.
We had Back to the Future on the TV.
On our way home, as my Dad drove, we exited the 401 at the Simcoe Street, and at the street light, my Dad waved a man holding a sign over to the car and gave him some charity.
It was a good day.
