Time isn’t what it use to be
its seem like all the minutes in a day have become seconds
and in a blink of an eye you can miss the world before you.
I try to be awake and aware and present in each moment
and its frustrating when I get impulsive about another moment
and miss out on all the beauty
the Universe wants to show me.
I don’t want to worry about love
I just want to be in love.
I will pause right now and breathe
and just let it be.
My first limerick poem. The journey was coming back to Newfoundland. It was hard to get the meter. It feels jerky. Alliteration was “brought me back”.
I was born in Newfoundland
25 years later I return to my homeland
Its was almost a lost memory
I left when I was three
I’m happy my Dad brought me back to Newfoundland.
This is my water haiku about a boggy dream is influx but in those subtle between fragmented thoughts I can reckon my choice. Haiku is 5-7-5-7-7.
Simile is in the title, “Hindsight comes now” being that the past cant be present, for now time is all there is.
Am I wasting time
To make sense of my boredom
In a boggy dream
Where I experience life
In the yesteryears of choice
This is an poem written in the acrostic form.
“An acrostic is a poem or other form of writing in which the first letter, syllable or word of each line, paragraph or other recurring feature in the text spells out a word or a message.”
Brave bold and beautiful
Earthly eye and exotic
Lover living in life
Vivid vexed volition
Eternal energy expanding
Devoted to life & death as the beloved daisy
